Exploration of the Application of Vernacular Materials in the Interior Design of Guesthouse
With the rapid development of tourism and people's increasing attention to local culture,guesthouse is highly sought after as a unique way of tourist accommodation.The choice of materials plays a crucial role in guesthouse design,and vernacular materials have received more and more attention as materials with regional and cultural characteristics.This paper discusses the application of vernacular materials in guesthouse design.It firstly explains the concept of vernacular materials,and then divides them into three categories:vernacular plants,vernacular building materials and vernacular waste materials.On this basis,the way in which vernacular materials are used in the interior space design of the guesthouse is studied in depth,including their use in walls,floors,ceilings and furniture.Finally,through the research and summary of actual cases,the unique features of vernacular materials in interior space design are found to provide certain reference value for future guesthouse design,and at the same time make a positive contribution to the inheritance of local culture and the promotion of sustainable development.
