Research on IP Character Design from the Perspective of Pierce's Semiotics
Currently,China is experiencing a rapid growth in IP development,but very few of the IP characters have gained popularity.This paper first elaborates on the basic concepts of Pierce's Semiotics,and then analyzes the use of signs in the character design of existing popular IPs from the perspective of Pierce's trichotomy of signs.The study aims to provide methodological references for designing IP characters with higher recognizability.
