Research on the Evaluation of University Campus Walking Environment from the Perspective of Health Needs—Taking Huangjiahu Campus of Wuhan University of Science and Technology as an Example
Starting from the perspective of college students'health needs, this paper selects the walking index method incorporating healthy walking coefficients to quantify the relationship between walking and health,in order to identify the areas with insufficient walking for health needs, and then constructs the evaluation system of a healthy campus walking environment to explore the key factors affecting the amount of healthy walking of college students.Taking the Huangjiahu Campus of Wuhan University of Science and Technology as the research area, the study evaluates its walking environment in terms of built environment as well as perceived environment, and puts forward corresponding optimization suggestions. The research team hopes to provide references for the construction of health-supportive campus walking environment,so as to improve the physical and mental health of the college students.
