With the growing elderly population,improving service facilities plays an important role in building an age-friendly city.Compared to large supermarkets,traditional food markets have more vitality and richer cultural connotations,and are also a very important part of the daily lives for the elderly.Updating and designing traditional food markets to adapt to aging can help elderly people obtain social satisfaction and alleviate their sense of loneliness in the market.This article takes the Jianguomen Market as an example to conduct current research and analyze issues related to its aging suitability.It proposes strategies for the aging renewal of the Jianguomen Market from four aspects:guidance,parking areas,rest areas,and public spaces,in order to provide guidance and reference for the aging design of traditional markets.
