Extraction and Redesign of Visual Elements of Yaotou Kiln Porcelain from the Perspective of Semiotics
Objective Based on the semiotic theory of Charles Morris,apply the porcelain pattern of Yaotou kiln to the design of modern cultural and creative products based on the semiotic theory of Charles Morris,so as to bring new visual expression and enrich cultural connotation to cultural and creative products,achieving the purpose of inheriting and promoting Yaotou kiln porcelain culture.Methods The semantics morphology and pragmatics of Morris semiotics theory are introduced into the design process of cultural and creative products of Yaotou kiln.Through classification,comparison and analysis of Yaotou kiln porcelain patterns,the graphic and color genes of porcelain patterns are extracted,and the basic forms of symbols are formed so that the redesigned patterns will be presented in graphic forms that meet modern aesthetic needs.Results The integration of Yaotou kiln porcelain pattern into cultural and creative product design,optimizes the Yaotou kiln porcelain cultural and creative brand and product design,and builds a communication path for the Yaotou kiln porcelain cultural and creative brand.Conclusion Charles Morris's semiotic theory can provide methodological references for the design of cultural and creative products,and the new Yaotou kiln porcelain cultural and creative brand and product Design can help to cultivate the audience's identification with the culture of Yaotou kiln porcelain,and at the same time enhance the cultural value of the products.
