Material and Shaping Based Design-Research on the Decoration Technology of Ancient Ceramic Body
Objective Combing the development and innovation route of ancient ceramic body decoration technology in order to provide a more targeted,accessible and sustainable solution for the protection and revival of traditional ceramic culture.Methods From the two directions of raw material decoration and body modeling decoration of ceramic body,the development of ancient ceramic body decoration techniques is combed and the technical categories are compared.Results This study finds that influenced by natural resources,social environment,aesthetic tendency,technical level and other aspects,the material decoration depends on the color of raw materials to achieve decorative effect,and the technical choice of ceramic body shape decoration is conducive to body shaping and decorative expression.Conclusion Craftsmen of all ages in different geographical environments and technical systems inherited traditional technology,integrated foreign technology,established and improved their own technical context.The decoration of ancient Chinese ceramic body forms the technical characteristics as follows:using local materials,choosing suitable materials,designing for demand,and shaping according to the body.
