Research on the Character Image Design in Children's Popular Science Picture Books-Taking the Design of Virus Defense Theme Picture Book as an Example
Popular science picture books have become an important way for children's science education.How to update the narrative of popular science picture books and optimize the image design of characters in picture books is an issue worthy of in-depth discussion.This paper analyzes the significant problems existing in the design of children's popular science picture books,and puts forward the image design methods of picture book characters,including:designing images that can arouse children's empathy,giving human attributes to the character images,and using exaggerated techniques to create differentiated images.Then,the design practice of children's popular science picture books is carried out with the theme of virus defense,and the main points of the image design of some characters in the book are explained.The study aims to provide reference for the optimization of popular science picture book design to improve children's reading experience.
