Research on Inclusive Design Strategies for Leisure and Entertainment Areas in Cruise Ships from the Perspective of Population Ageing
With the acceleration of the global population aging,the share of senior citizens in tourism consumer groups grows significantly.The comfort and convenience of cruise travel make it a popular travel option for elder people.Based on the inclusive design concept,this paper explores the design strategies of leisure and entertainment areas in the cruise ship from the perspective of population ageing,and enrich the application and theoretical system of inclusive design of cruise ships.The article provides an in-depth analysis of the different types of leisure and recreation areas of existing cruise ships according to their environment,mobility and emotional value,pointing out the needs of the elderly population at different stages in each area.Then it proposes the optimization strategy of inclusive design for elderly tourists from three aspects:physical environment,service and interactive environment.The research aims to give guidance to the design of leisure and entertainment areas in cruise ships,improve the aging-friendly design standard of the relevant areas,and provide valuable references for the research and practice of the overall inclusive design of cruise ships,so as to enhance the cruise travel experience of the elder people.
