Objective To explore the effects of rat nerve growth factor on oxidative stress and serum inflammatory factors in elderly patients with acute vestibular neuritis. Methods One hundred and twenty-seven elderly patients with acute vestibular neuritis who met the inclusion criteria in our hospital were selected and divided into two groups by random number table method,63 cases in the control group were treated with prednisone, and 64 cases in the observation group were treated with prednisone combined with murine nerve growth factor. The vestibular function indexes, serum inflammatory factor index levels and drug safety were compared between the two groups of patients. Results After the treatment, the level of vestibular function improvement in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The levels of TNF-α and IL-6 in the control group were higher than those in the observation group(P<0.05).The serum MDA level in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, while the SOD index level was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion For elderly patients with acute vestibular neuritis, the use of murine nerve growth factor treatment can effectively improve the patient's oxida-tive stress and serum inflammatory factor levels, and improve the clinical effect with safety.
