Latent class analysis of cancer-related fatigue after surgery in patients with gastrointestinal malignancies
Objective To explore the potential categories of cancer-related fatigue in patients with gastrointestinal malignan-cies after surgery and analyze the influencing factors of cancer-related fatigue in different categories of gastrointestinal malignancy patients. Methods The convenience sampling method was used to select 120 patients with gastrointestinal malignancies who un-derwent surgical treatment.General condition scale and patient-reported outcomes measurement information system(PROMIS)cancer fatigue 8a short form(PROMIS fatigue short form)were used for questionnaire survey. Results The average T-score of cancer-related fatigue in postoperative patients with gastrointestinal malignancies was(61.558±3.957),which was higher than the baseline level of the general population.Postoperative patients with gastrointestinal malignancies were divided into two groups:high-perception-low-action fatigue group(48.9%)and high-perception-high-action fatigue group(51.1%).The results showed that preoperative anemia, age, and gender were the influencing factors. Conclusion There is heterogeneity in postopera-tive fatigue among patients with gastrointestinal malignancies, which can be divided into two categories.Anemia, age, and gen-der are the influencing factors.Medical staff should pay attention to patients with high-perception-low-action fatigue, correctly i-dentify patients in different categories, and provide targeted nursing measures to improve their fatigue status.
