Effect of phosphorus fertilizer application rates on the yield and benefit of ryegrass
A field trial was carried out to study the effect of different phosphorus (P) fertilizer rates on the yield and benefit of ryegrass. It was showed that P application significantly promoted the plant tillers, height and leaf area of ryegrass. The fresh yield increased first and then decreased with the increasing P application rates. The rate of 135 kg/hm2 of P2O5 produced the highest yield (59. 75 t/hm2) . The accumulation of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in ryegrass also increased with the increment of P application rate. The result economical benefit analysis showed that the profit was optimum when P2O5 applied at the rate of 135 kg/hm2 , which achieved net profit of 3 296 yuan/hm2 ,the VCR reached 4. 79.
