microRNAs(miRNAs)是广泛存在于真核生物的一类非编码RNA,在动植物各项生命活动中发挥着重要作用。本文综述了 miRNA调控牧草生长发育和生态适应的功能,重点阐述了 miRNA调控豆科牧草根瘤形成、禾本科牧草分蘖、苜蓿(Medicago sativa)秋季休眠等方面的机制,探讨了 miRNA介导的抗逆响应机制,包括磷、盐、干旱等非生物胁迫和病原菌、昆虫等生物胁迫,讨论了 miRNA在牧草分子育种和害虫管理中的应用潜力。深入开展牧草miRNA的研究具有重要的科学价值和实践意义,有助于推动牧草产业和畜牧业的发展。
Research progress and prospects of microRNAs in forage crops
microRNAs(miRNAs),a class of non-coding RNAs ubiquitously present in eukaryotes,play essential roles in the different life processes of plants and animals.In this article,we review the functions of miRNAs in the growth,development,and ecological adaptation of forage crops,with a particular focus on the regulatory mechanisms of miRNAs in the nodule formation of leguminous forage plants,tillering of grass forage plants,and autumn dormancy of alfalfa.We also examine the roles of miRNAs in the responses to abiotic stresses,such as phosphorus,salt,and drought stresses,and biotic stresses associated with pathogens and insects.The potential applications of miRNA in molecular breeding and pest management of forage crops are also discussed.Research on miRNAs in forage crops has both scientific value and practical significance and will contribute to future advances in the fields of forage cultivation and livestock husbandry.
