Research and Analysis on Emissions and Fuel Consumption of Heavy Duty Diesel Vehicles Based on China Heavy-duty Commercial Vehicle Test Cycle
This article conducts comparative tests based on a chassis dynamometer under two different types of resistance:regulatory recommended resistance and actual road coasting resistance,to study the impact of different resistance on emissions and fuel consumption of heavy-duty diesel vehicles. The test fuel consumption and emission results are directly related to the resistance setting of the chassis dynamometer. The greater the resistance, the higher the fuel consumption. The recommended fuel consumption under resistance is 9.6%higher than the coasting resistance. For gaseous pollutants, the recommended resistance is 9.1%higher in CO2 emissions,39.6%higher in CO emissions, and 16.9%higher in NOX emissions compared to coasting resistance.
