Forward Modeling and Application of Ground-penetrating Radar in Road Distress Detection
Ground-penetrating radar (GPR), as a new detection method, has the advantages of high efficiency, fast and non-destructive, but in practical application, there is a lack of abnormal body imaging identification criteria, and there are problems of multi-solution and subjective recognition. In order to study the electromagnetic spectrum characteristics of diseases in the road, this paper takes Hubei Xiangjing Expressway as the research object, and combines GprMax electromagnetic simulation software to conduct radar forward simulation of diseases in the road structure, so as to analyze the electromagnetic field characteristics of different diseases. The radar waveform features of each disease are analyzed by radar forward simulation images. The results show that the disease radar image features obtained by forward simulation can provide technical support for field radar image interpretation.
