Analysis of the Influence of Different Polypropylene Fiber Content on the Performance of the Mixture Path at the Micro-surface
To investigate the impact of polypropylene fiber content on the road performance of the micro-surface mixture, several tests were conducted, including the wet wheel abrasion test, rut deformation test and low-temperature bending test. These tests aimed to assess the influence of different polypropylene fiber contents on the mixture's resistance to wear, water damage rutting, and low-temperature cracking under different oil-stone ratios. The results show that the content of polypropylene fiber should be less than 0.3%,and the wear value of wet wheel increases with the increase of polypropylene fiber contents when the oil-stone ratio is less than 7.0%,and decreases with the increase of polypropylene fiber contents when the oil-stone ratio is less than 7.0%.To a certain extent, polypropylene fiber can improve the rutting resistance of asphalt mixture at the micro-surface,In addition, through the low-temperature flexure test,it can be found that the addition of polypropylene fiber can greatly improve the low-temperature crack resistance of the mixture.
