Risk Assessment of Ship Conducting Simultaneous Operations with Cargo Loading/Unloading during LNG Bunkering
In order to effectively evaluate the potential risks and corresponding mitigation measures of simultaneous LNG bunkering and loading and unloading operations for coastal port ships, this article selects the second phase terminal of Shanghai Yangshan Port as the operating site, and takes a 14800TEU dual fuel container ship using a 20000m3 LNG bunker vessel to perform LNG bunkering and loading and unloading operations as the research object.Based on the widely recognized risk assessment method at home and abroad, four LNG leakage scenarios were proposed based on hazard identification and failure probability analysis. The three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics software FLACS was used to analyze the dispersion range of flammable gas after LNG leakage to the two ships. At the same time, considering the impact of container loading and unloading on LNG bunker vessel and operations, suggestions on the restriction area, warning area and safety guarantee measures for the simultaneous LNG bunkering and cargo loading operation are put forward.
