Simulation and Calculation of Pipeline Crossing Highways Based on ANSYS
During the construction of gas pipelines crossing highways, the settlement and deformation of the highways are inevitable.Based on the construction of a pipeline crossing a highway project, this paper establishes a three-dimensional model of the pipeline and the highway using ANSYS software. The mechanical properties of the soil, pipeline, and highway materials are considered,as well as the excavation of foundation pits and backfilling in the site area.By applying different loads and boundary conditions, the stress distribution, deformation, and stress concentration of the pipeline during the crossing process are analyzed. The research results show that the settlement distribution along the longitudinal direction of the pipeline follows a funnel-shaped pattern, with the maximum settlement occurring directly above the pipeline and gradually decreasing along the longitudinal direction of the highway. There is a shear stress concentration phenomenon on the slope above the pipeline, exhibiting a butterfly-shaped symmetric distribution along the longitudinal direction of the highway. The first and third principal stresses of the buried pipeline exhibit symmetric distributions along the longitudinal direction, and stress concentration occurs in the pipeline structure directly below the highway.
