Research on the Operation Scheme of HVDC-Flexible Interconnected Micro-grid for Highway Transportation
In order to reduce the carbon emissions of highway transportation, the vacant land of highway can be fully utilized to develop photovoltaic power generation facilities to supply power to transportation infrastructure such as service areas and toll stations. As the photovoltaic gathering distance of the highway slope is long, the generated solar power is fully transmitted to power grid. The near distributed solar system, constituting a micro-grid with battery and load, which is directly connected to the distribution system of the service area or toll station. In order to reduce the distribution expansion demand and peak regulation pressure of power grid caused by the increase of charging and replacing facilities, and improve the proportion of green energy consumption of transportation infrastructure, the flexible DC transmission system is used to connect highway slope solar system and near-area transportation infrastructure micro-grid.Based on the system topology, the construction scale principle of the HVDC-Flexible micro-grid is proposed, and the scheduling control strategies are designed for the grid-connected and off-grid operation modes. In addition, the electromagnetic transient model is established in PSCAD/EMTDC to simulate and analyze the different operating states of the system, and the effectiveness of the operation control strategies are verified.
