Impact and Countermeasures of Global Green and Low-carbon Regulations on Engineering Construction Enterprises
The Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism(CBAM)commonly referred to as"carbon tariffs"in media reports,is one of the combined tools employed by the European Union(EU)to achieve climate neutrality by 2050.Alongside the EU Emissions Trading System(EU-ETS),it forms a crucial foundation for the EU to realize its"climate ambitions."Through a tracking study of the current status and future trends of CBAM and related green and low-carbon regulations, this paper delves into the implications and challenges posed by these regulations to China engineering construction enterprises.Furthermore,it offers strategic recommendations for enterprises to navigate the economization of"green and low-carbon"policies in the EU and other developed countries. These recommendations aim to assist enterprises in promoting high-quality green and low-carbon development.
