Analysis of the Effect of Turf Characteristics on the Drainage Performance of Ecological Turf Ditches
Ecological turf ditch is a kind of natural or artificial channel for planting grasses in highway soil drainage ditch to protect the structure of soil ditch, resist scouring and accelerate rainwater drainage.Compared with the traditional slurry chip stone drainage ditch, the ecological drainage ditch has little impact on the natural environment along the route, and can be integrated with the ecological environment around the highway, which has good ecological benefits. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of turf of different lengths and densities on the flow rate and hydrodynamic parameters of turf ditches.By evaluating the application effect of ecological turf ditch in highway drainage system, combined with on-site water flow characteristic observation data, the Manning equation under uniform flow state is applied to calculate the roughness value of turf ditch. This study also focuses on analyzing the trend of roughness changes in turf ditches,in order to provide accurate calculation basis for the flow design of turf ditches.
