Resource Reutilization and Environmental Protection Strategies in Railway Engineering Based on Circular Economy Principles
As the concepts of low-carbon and sustainable development become increasingly ingrained in society, environmental concerns in railway engineering are receiving heightened attention. This paper aims to explore the application of circular economy principles in railway projects, proposing a set of"resource-efficient"environmental strategies.By focusing on the recycling and efficient use of land, water, electricity, construction materials, and office supplies, the paper presents a range of practical measures.Initially,it introduces the fundamental concepts of a circular economy, followed by an in-depth discussion on optimizing land use, implementing rainwater collection and wastewater treatment, utilizing renewable energy, adopting recycled construction materials, and promoting paperless offices in railway projects.Using the newly constructed Liuwu Railway project as a case study, the paper demonstrates the effectiveness of these strategies in reducing resource waste, lowering carbon emissions, and achieving sustainable development.Through the implementation of these measures, future railway projects can better balance economic benefits with environmental protection, paving the way for long-term sustainable growth in green construction.
