This paper discusses the core competence of digital publishing talents and the cultivation path in the era of artificial intelligence,in order to meet the opportunities and challenges brought by the development of emerging technologies for the cultivation of digital publishing talents. The article defines the core competence that digital publishing talents should possess in the era of artificial intelligence as system literacy,data literacy and ethics literacy. It analyzes the realistic predicaments faced by the cultivation of core competence in digital publishing talents,including:the traditional subject education restricts the development of system literacy;the "rigid implantation" restricts the development of data literacy;the lack of professional ideals restricts the development of ethical literacy. The research puts forward the path to cultivate the core competence of digital publishing talents in the era of artificial intelligence:building two platforms to promote the deep integration of disciplines and industries;implementing three types of integration to promote the implementation and rooting of core competence concepts;improving four abilities to ensure the effective cultivation of core competence.
