Turning Stone into Gold:the Comparative Advantages and Local Publication of Photolithography in the Late Qing Dynasty and Early Republican of China Era
This article summarizes the invention and introduction of photolithography and its wide application,and explains its significant impact on the modern publishing industry in China. Through combing the historical materials of publishing and comparing the physical remains,it finds that a variety of printing technologies coexist in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republican of China era,and photolithography is widely used in publishing practice due to its comparative advantages at the specific stage,providing a technical basis for the prosperity of China's publishing industry in the modern era. It is also points out that the localization of photolithography shows China's independent choice and exploratory practice based on its own historical and cultural development needs.
