The Application of Domestication and Foreignization Theory in the Translation of Chinese Cartoon Titles
In recent years,with the rapid development of China's animation technology,domestic animated films have made tremendous progress in technology and quality,and have also entered an unprecedented stage of devel-opment.The role of movie titles as a business card in attracting audiences and increasing box office revenue is also more prominent.Excellent translation of animated film titles not only creates commercial value for the Chinese film industry,but also allows audiences from different regions of the world to encounter and understand Chinese culture,which helps to enhance the international recognition of domestic animated films.Starting from two translation strate-gies of domestication and foreignization,this article uses examples to analyze the English translation of excellent do-mestic animation titles in China,and further explores the principles and methods of English translation of domestic animation titles.
