This study reforms the training model for art and design talents within the context of the new liberal arts.By examining the essence of the new liberal arts movement,it formulates an approach for the development of art and design programs titled"cultural leadership-fusion of art and engineering-empowerment through practice".U-tilizing the OBE philosophy,it formulates a results-oriented approach for cultivating art and design talents.With the aim of enhancing students' cultural and artistic proficiencies,advanced design capabilities,and innovative crea-tivity,the study implements a reform in the teaching system.Leveraging the Northeast Regional Decorative Culture Research Center,which focuses on integrating theory with practice and collaborative co-education to establish a multi-tiered practice platform structured around"one studio,three faculties,and five levels".This approach ef-fectively facilitates innovative practices in the training model for art and design talents,yielding significant reform outcomes.
