The Teaching Reform and Exploration of Transportation Engineering Course Based on OBE Concept
Traffic engineering is the fundamental theory of research and development in the field of traffic engineer-ing,serving as a core professional basic course for transportation majors. In order to address the limitations of cur-rent traffic engineering courses, this paper conducts research on teaching reform based on the concept of Outcome-Based Education(OBE).It establishes curriculum knowledge objectives, ability objectives, and quality objectives while reconstructing teaching contents through theoretical instruction, practical training, curriculum design think-ing,and political considerations.Additionally,it incorporates various teaching methods such as heuristic teaching method,case-based teaching method, and split classroom teaching method.Furthermore,it optimizes pre-class preparation,in-class delivery techniques, and post-class evaluation processes to create a comprehensive and di-versified assessment approach that combines formative evaluation with summative evaluation.Teaching feedback is implemented from multiple aspects including content delivery effectiveness, instructional methodologies employed by teachers'attitudes towards students'learning progress to continuously enhance the overall educational system. This student-centered teaching reform model aims to improve the quality of education by fostering innovative thinking skills and practical abilities among students to effectively achieve talent cultivation goals.
