Research on AMT Automatic Clutch Control Based on Model Predictive Control
Clutch control is an important factor affecting the smoothness of automatic transmission shifting,and traditional control methods are difficult to accurately control large hysteresis and nonlinear systems such as automatic clutches.Taking into account factors such as shifting smoothness and stable engine oper-ation as system constraints,and with the design goals of minimizing shifting time,sliding wear and impact,an automatic clutch engagement controller based on Model Predictive Control(MPC)algorithm is designed. Through simulation and actual vehicle testing,it is verified that the model predictive control algorithm can effectively reduce the impact and sliding wear during the shifting process,and improve the shifting quality,compared with fuzzy logic control algorithm.
