Research Progress on Mechanical and Durability Properties of Fiber Reinforced Soil
Fiber reinforcement is an improved technique that improves the engineering mechanical properties of soil by adding dispersed fiber filaments uniformly into the soil.Fiber reinforced soil has gradually been applied and promoted in practical engineering due to the advantages in strength, toughness, and deforma-tion.It reviews the research progress on the mechanical and durability properties of fiber reinforced soil both domestically and internationally in recent years, including compressive strength, shear strength, tensile strength,freeze-thaw resistance, and resistance to dryness and wetness. It also points out the problems and future research directions in fiber reinforced soil,in order to provide assistance for the subsequent research and application of fiber reinforced soil in the field of engineering.
