A Review of Research on Teachers'Workload in Primary and Secondary Schools——A Meta-analytic Study Based on CNKI Literature from 2013 to 2023
From 2013 to 2023,a noteworthy surge in research has been observed regarding the workload of educators within the CNKI database. This investigation employs a meta-analytical research paradigm, conducting an analysis from four fundamental dimensions:re-search trajectories, thematic focuses, subjects under investigation and methodological approaches. The findings elucidate that the defini-tion and attributes characterizing teachers'workload predominantly emerge within speculative,policy-oriented inquiries.Notably,exam-inations of the workload of primary and secondary school educators across distinct regions, with a particular emphasis on urban, county, and rural settings, demonstrate a prevailing inclination towards empirical research methodologies. However,it is imperative to acknowl-edge that there is a scope for further refinement and expansion in the research paradigms dedicated to exploring the workload of primary and secondary school teachers.Subsequent endeavors should prioritize the specificity and appropriateness of research initiatives, thereby effectively propelling the meaningful implementation of policies aimed at alleviating the burden on educators and enhancing overall effi-ciency.
