Application of Metagenomic Next-generation Sequencing Technology to the Diagnosis and Treatment of Hematologic Diseases Complicated with Infection
This paper has explored the clinical application value of metagenomic nex-tgeneration sequencing (mNGS) to the diagnosis and treatment of hematological diseases and co-infections. The detection results of traditional pathogens and mNGS detection results of patients with hematological diseases co-infection in the Department of Hematology of Jilin Provincial People' s Hospital from August 2021 to December 2022 were compared, and the advantages and clinical application value of mNGS in the diagnosis and treatment of blood diseases co-infection were discussed. A total of 20 patients were enrolled, and 16 cases were positive after mNGS testing, inclu-ding 3 cases of bacterial infection, 1 case of fungal infection, 4 cases of viral infection, 8 cases of two or more infections, and 4 cases were negative. The detection rate of mNGS pathogens ( 80%) , and the detection types of pathogens were significantly higher than those of traditional detection methods. After adjusting the clinical medication according to the mNGS test results, the treatment effect was good. Compared with traditional pathogen detection methods, mNGS has a higher detection rate and more comprehensive detection of blood dis-ease co-infection, which significantly improves the survival rate and quality of life of patients, and has guiding significance for clinical medication. Pathogenic metagenomic next-generation sequencing can provide etiological evidence for this type of infection to assist the treatment of co-infection of blood diseases.
