On the Protection of Consumer Rights and Interests in Cross-Border E-Commerce
In recent years ,China's cross-border e-commerce has developed rapidly. Different from domestic e-commerce , cross-border e-commerce is characterized by transnational transaction behavior, internationalization of payment and logistics, and complexity of law application, which brings many challenges to the protection of consumer rights and interests. Legal problems often encountered by consumers of cross-border e-commerce activities include the loss of the right to know and the right to fair trade ,privacy protection and data security issues ,unclear application of law and jurisdiction ,and the difficulty in enforcing the judgment. In this regard,we should improve legislation in relevant fields, establish a complete cross-border ODR mechanism, and actively strengthen international cooperation and mutual recognition ,so as to promote the healthy and orderly development of cross-border e-commerce market.
