External Publicity Translation and Image Construction of City in the Context of Cross-Cultural Communication
In recent years,with the overall improvement of comprehensive strength,China's international status has significantly improved ,and foreign exchange activities have been also increasing day by day ,which raises higher requirements for external publicity translation. In the context of cross-cultural communication,the publicity of city image has become a manifestation of a country's soft power. Only by continuously strengthening the translation and image construction of city's external publicity can the country enhance its influence and have more chances to have China's voice heard in the international community. This article elaborates on the principles in the translation of urban external publicity ,explores the process ,norms ,and principles of urban publicity translation,and proposes effective strategies for construction of urban external publicity image.
