The Interaction Mechanism Between the Mind and Music:A Case Study of The Book of Rites for the Exploration of Music Psychology
The Book of Rites,the most representative classic of Chinese music culture,consistently upholds a fundamental logic,that is,music which originates from the resonance of the human mind.Taking The Book of Rites as a case study,this paper explores from the perspective of music psychology the interaction mechanisms between music and three aspects,including various mental states of sorrow,joy,anger,reverence,love;different mental aspirations like indulgence,obsession,annoyance and arrogance,and psychological quali-ties of open-mindedness,respectfulness,integrity and gentleness.Through such analysis,this paper aims to investigate the dialectical relationship between human psychology and music.
