The design parameters of the electro-pneumatic nailing device are numerous and the internal relationships are complex, which makes the development cycle long and the efficiency low. In order to improve the design efficiency of a certain type of electric nailing device, a visual parametric design software was developed by using Matlab, Kiss soft and Excel. Design calculations, program compilation, and interface implementation were realized by Matlab, gear structure design function was realized by Kiss soft, and Excel serves as a database to store design results. This software was designed to meet the requirements of different types of electric nailing device, motor parameters, nail shooting power, master cylinder diameter were used as input parameters to design a transmission system scheme, and a three-stage planetary reducer, a set of bevel gears, and a transmission screw structure. Based on the structural parameters of each gear, the root safety factor and tooth surface safety factor values were calculated, strength verification of the structure was performed, and the design results through an Excel spreadsheet were output. The results show that the transmission system designed by the software meets practical work requirements and can serve as an effective auxiliary for the design of electric electric nailing device. This device can quickly complete the design of different types of products, shorten the research and development cycle, and improve research and development efficiency.
