General Secretary Xi Jinping's statement on"carrying out the basic task of fostering virtue through education"serves as the guiding ideology for moral education in colleges and universities.The core of this thesis is that education at all levels and in all forms must adhere to the principle of cultivating moral integrity.This principle is fundamental to talent development,a key require-ment for public satisfaction with education,and the ultimate goal of implementing quality education.Currently,moral education with-in the ideological and political education framework in colleges and universities faces several challenges.These include the increasing trend of educational utilitarianism,the challenges posed by the information age,issues related to teachers'moral and ethical standards,and a lack of coordinated efforts from multiple stakeholders.To practically implement moral education in colleges and universities,several measures are necessary:correct perspectives to organically integrate the instrumental and value rationality of moral education;establish a legal foundation for teachers'understanding and implementation of moral education;accelerate the construction of an insti-tutional safeguard mechanism that promotes pluralistic collaboration in moral education;prioritize teachers'morality and improve the evaluation mechanism to normalize moral education efforts;develop a comprehensive cultural education framework that involves all staff,processes,and aspects.
