Analysis and Improvement Strategy of Wear Failure of Cooling Fan Blades of a Helicopter Type
The cooling fan is a key component of the helicopter's cooling system and is used to cool important parts such as the oil radiator, generator, air pump, etc. If the fan rubs, jams,or falls out of place,it can cause serious safety hazards.Through the four batch cooling fan impeller friction and shaft assembly shaking problems found in a certain type of helicopter in the course of field use,com-bined with the structure and working principle of the fan,the fan was disassembled and inspected, together with the dimensional dif-ferential measurement.Through research and analysis, the conclusion was that the torque was transmitted to a different shaft and that radial forces were leading to rotational deflection, which led to a wear failure.Three repair and improvement measures and three main-tenance recommendations are proposed to address this issue, which are of practical significance for improving the reliability and main-tenance efficiency of the helicopter cooling system.
