The Chengde section of Liao Post Road outside Gubeikou Pass of the Great Wall in the Liao and Song Dynasties,bounded by the Tiejiang Post House in Pingquan Town of Pingquan City,is divided into two geographical environment units,namely Yanshan Mountain Road in the south and Hechuan Plateau in the north,with eight stations and their inns,as well as two ridges'landscape,which are the diplomatic landmarks of Chengde's Peace and Harmony culture.The Song Dynasty diplomats had integrated the feelings of travel,the feelings of family and country with the natural scenery and social customs of Chengde,which has become an epic blending of Liao style and Song feature in Chengde,and played the prelude to the Peace and Harmony culture of Chengde for more than 100 years.
