In the post-epidemic era, with the recovery of the tourism market, the performing arts economy has shown a huge role in activating the culture and tourism consumption market, and has gradually become a new driving force for the integrated development of rural culture and tourism. At present, the high-quality development of rural culture and tourism integration is restricted by some practical problems such as the lack of support for the cultural connotation of rural tourism, the low degree specialization in the integrated development of rural culture and tourism, the neglect of the consumption support of the main groups of the performing arts economy, and the insufficient integration of the performance industry and rural tourism and performing arts. Through the analysis of the current situation of the integrated development of rural culture and tourism and the development of performing arts economy, combined with the practical experience of Shanxi Province's performing arts economy to promote the integrated development of cultural and tourism, supported by the location theory, the the-ory of recreation belt around the city and the theory of industrial collaborative development, this paper expounds the way to take the wave of performing arts economy to promote the high-quality development of rural cultural and tourism integration.
