Tourism is a happy industry to improve people's livelihood,tourism development is the main way to enhance people's well-being,and enhancing the well-being of residents in rural tourism destinations is the purpose of sustainable development of rural tourism.Taking Shuidui Village in Heshun Ancient Town and Simola in Tengchong,Yunnan Province as the research objects,we constructed a family well-being evaluation index system based on the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment,and used questionnaire surveys,semi-structured inter-views,and mathematical statistics to explore the level of family well-being and the influencing factors of the case sites in the context of rural tourism development.The study finds that there are differences in the well-being of families in the case study sites,and that the proportion of family labour force,annual family income,family livelihood strategies and the degree of participation in tourism have a significant impact on the well-being of families in the tourism sites.The study helps to provide new theoretical perspectives and practical suggestions for the opti-misation and enhancement of family well-being in rural tourism.
