Wushu proverbs,which are the"living language"of Chinese Wushu,have important theoretical significance and appli-cation value.Wushu proverbs have multi-dimensional characteristics,namely,the dimension of boxing schools:the speech of boxing schools;the dimension of regional folklore:the representation of cultural difference;the dimension of ethics:the tradition of advocating morality and harmony;the dimension of simple philosophy:the purport of combining theory with skills;the dimension of subtle rituals:the summary of practical experience;the dimension of taking meaning from pictograph:the tendency of the unity of heaven and man.On this basis,this paper analyzes its content aggregation and significance from the aspects of self-cultivation,fitness,self-defense,teaching,training and skills,and proposes the path and rationale to interpret Wushu proverbs.That is,culture and tradition:the dual orientation of Wushu proverb interpretation;popularity and reception:the modern orientation of Wushu proverb expression;motivation and accuracy:reasonable interpretation of morphemes in Wushu proverbs;academic probe and profundity:in-depth analysis of the connotation of Wushu proverbs.
