Research on Switchgear Local Discharge Detection Methods Based on the Broadband Current Sensor
The acquisition of switchgear partial discharge signal will be affected by the noise signal, resulting in poor accuracy of switch-gear partial discharge detection, therefore,a switchgear partial discharge detection method based on a broadband current sensor is pro-posed. The wide-band current sensor is placed at the zero-sequence current transformer of the switchgear to collect the wide-band cur-rent,the independent component analysis method and the empirical modal decomposition method are combined to eliminate the influence of the noise signal on the partial discharge detection, and the concentration characteristics of the wide-band current after denoising are extracted and input into the updated Gaussian mixture model to realize the switchgear partial discharge detection. The experimental re-sults show that the current detection error of the proposed method is within 0.1 mA,the error rate is less than 0.25%,and the time re-quired for discharge detection is 23.5 s. It proves that the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed method for partial discharge detection of switchgear are good, which can effectively guarantee the safety and stability of switchgear operation.
