A New Secure Routing Protocol of Wireless Sensor Networks Based on Multi-Factor Trust
To solve the problems of incomplete trust calculation metrics, unreliability of weights due to manual assignment, packet loss, delay, and energy consumption due to the correlation of routing nodes in previous flat routing protocols of wireless sensor networks based on trust mechanism,a secure routing protocol named SRPMT is proposed for wireless sensor networks based on multi-factor trust mecha-nism.The direct trust value, indirect trust value, residual energy,inter-node distance metric, and the distance from sink metric of nodes with the above five factors are considered.A dynamical weight using entropy measurement is assigned in the proposed new protocol. The uncorrelated node multipath routing establishment using an improved AODV protocol is proposed. The sink node creates both an optimal path and an alternate path which are based on the trust-based link quality. The SRPMT will recreate a new route if neither the optimal path nor the alternate path is reliable. The advantage of using SRPMT is the lower frequency of route discovery.Simulation results show that SRPMT reduces the energy consumption, delay, and packet loss rate of network nodes and improves the security of the network com-pared with both TSRP and AODV.
