Research on high gain flexible antenna for microwave wireless power transmission
In order to overcome inconvenient access of traditional wired power supply mode,a high gain flexible antenna for 5.8 GHz microwave wireless power transmission(MWPT)is proposed. The antenna uses polyimide(PI)as substrate.Three-layer ring structure is obtained by generalized iterative design method and fed by coplanar wave guide(CPW).In addition,in order to improve antenna gain, air gap and flexible reflector are loaded on the back of the antenna, and the antenna performance is tested. The measurement results show that the peak gain of the antenna at 5.8 GHz is 9.51 dBi;when the antenna is bent at curvature radii of 85,60 and 45 mm,the gain is always above 8.89 dBi,and the S11 amplitude is always less than-10dB.Finally,the maximum energy harvesting efficiency of the antenna is 71.3%by microwave wireless power transmission experiment, and harvesting efficiency can maintain more than 59%in bending state. The high gain, high harvesting efficiency and stability of the antenna prove its potential application value in microwave wireless power transmission.
