Polarization modulation ranging frequency extraction based on cross-correlation technique
Aiming at the problem that frequency extraction is not accurate in polarization modulation ranging technology,a frequency extraction method based on cross-correlation technology is proposed. The principles of ranging and cross-correlation detection are analyzed, the polarization modulation ranging algorithm model based on cross-correlation analysis is deduced, and the ranging system is constructed to carry out frequency measurement comparison experiments and precision verification experiments. The experimental results show that the cross-correlation analysis method can significantly improve the signal-to-noise ratio and resolution of the frequency measurement, and the standard deviation of the frequency measurement is 1.3 ×10-5,which is 7 times higher than the traditional method. The relative measurement precision of distance reaches 10-5,which is better than the theoretical precision at this modulation frequency and sweep step. Both theoretical analysis and experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the method.
