Design of double closed-loop temperature control system with high stability for tunable laser
Temperature stability plays an important role in the stability of wavelength and power of tunable lasers.Therefore,a dual closed-loop temperature control system with high stability for tunable lasers is designed and developed.Firstly,in order to accurately measure the operating temperature of the laser,a differential pressure measurement circuit is designed to accurately and linearly measure the nonlinear thermistor.Secondly,in order to output stable control current to the thermoelectric cooler(TEC),a linear control H-bridge driver circuit is designed to eliminate the ripple interference of TEC working current;Thirdly,in order to improve the anti-interference ability of the temperature control system,a deep negative feedback circuit is designed as the inner loop control of the system;Finally,in order to realize the real-time temperature regulation,position PID is used to control the outer loop of the system.The actual circuit test results show that the 2 h temperature control stability of the laser gain chip is better than ±0.005℃ when the set temperature is within the range of 15~35℃,which can meet the high stability requirements of the tunable laser temperature control.
