Dipole source parameter estimation based on PVDF biomimetic lateral line sensor
Based on biological principle,a biomimetic lateral line sensor is designed and fabricated using polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)piezoelectric material with better performance. In order to estimate the vibration amplitude and spatial position of underwater dipole source, six PVDF-based biomimetic lateral line sensors with a spacing of 2 cm are used to form a sensing array with a length of 10 cm,and corresponding experimental platform is established. Actual flow velocity is obtained by analyzing the voltage data collected from each sensor. The improved particle swarm optimization algorithm is used for several iterations to search the most matched dipole source correlation information. Experimental results show that the dipole source parameters can be estimated by this method in a certain range with small error and strong stability of result.
