摘要
光波导(Optical Waveguide,OWG)是引导光波在其中传播的介质装置,又称介质光波导.光波导具有体积小、结构简单、易于集成等优点,并且对折射率、吸收和化学过程的变化非常敏感.这些变化可以调制波导中传输的光,因此,光波导可以用来制造各种传感器.随着材料科学的发展,基于光波导的传感研究逐渐增多.文章介绍了光波导传感的基本原理,从无机、有机、杂化材料3个方面介绍了微纳米级别的光波导材料,并阐述了近几年来光波导在气体、生物分子、化学物质、温度以及湿度等方面的传感研究进展,最后,展望了光波导在远程传感领域的发展前景.
Abstract
Optical waveguide is a dielectric device that guides optical wave to propagate through it,also known as the dielectric optical waveguide. Optical waveguides have advantages such as small size,simple structure,and easy integration,and they are sensitive to changes in the refractive index,absorption,and chemical processes. These changes modulate the light transmitted in the waveguide,so the optical waveguide can be used to fabricate various sensors. With the development of materials science,the sensing research based on optical waveguide is gradually increasing. The paper introduces the basic principle of optical waveguide sensing,introduces the optical waveguide materials from three aspects of inorganic,organic and hybrid materials,and expounds the research progress of optical waveguide sensing in gas,biomolecules,chemical substances,temperature and humidity in recent years. Finally,the development prospect of optical waveguides in the field of remote sensing is discussed.
