The cross-cultural and intercultural study of The Book of Songs represents a significant new perspective in the research history of this classic text. This approach offers important breakthroughs both in the interpretation of individual poems and in the reevaluation of the intrinsic value of The Book of Songs. The poem Ye You Si Jun encapsulates rich cultural connotations related to "deer",which are closely associated with themes of marriage and love. These connotations include,the tradition of gift-giving as an expression of affection,marriage customs,and totem worship. These cultural elements not only corroborate the marriage and love themes of the poem but also clarify the rituals and customs depicted in The Book of Songs,thereby laying a documentary foundation for further research.
