Predictive Value of Serum NAMPT Combined with PARP1 for Cardiovascular Events in Patients with Chronic Heart Failure
Objective To explore the predictive value of serum nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase(NAMPT)combined with serum polyadenylate diphosphate ribose polymerase(PARP1)for cardiovascular events in patients with chronic heart failure(CHF).Methods A total of 179 patients with CHF admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University from February 2018 to April 2022 were included in the experimental group. They were further grouped into an event group(n=55)and an event-free group(n=124)based on the occurrence of cardiovascular events during the follow-up period.Meantime,179 healthy individuals who underwent physical examinations were included as the control group.Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)was applied to detect the levels of serum NAMPT and PARP1.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was utilized to analyze the influencing factors of cardiovascular events in CHF patients.Receiver operator characteristic(ROC)curve was used to analyze the predictive value of serum NAMPT and PARP1 levels for cardiovascular events in CHF patients. Results The levels of serum NAMPT and PARP1 in the control group were lower than those in the experimental group(P<0.05).The serum N-terminal pro-B-type brain natriuretic peptide(NT-ProBNP)level,heart rate, and serum NAMPT and PARP1 levels in the event group were higher than those in the event-free group, while the left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)level in the event group was lower than that in the event-free group(P<0.05).The levels of serum NAMPT and PARP1 in grade Ⅳ patients were higher than those in gradeⅢand Ⅱ patients(P<0.05),and the levels of serum NAMPT and PARP1 in grade Ⅲ patients were higher than those in grade Ⅱ patients(P<0.05).Serum NT-ProBNP,LVEF,heart rate,NAMPT,and PARP1 were influencing factors for the occurrence of cardiovascular events in CHF patients(P<0.05).The area under the curve(AUC)of the combined prediction of serum NAMPT and PARP1 levels for cardiovascular events in CHF patients was 0.939,with a sensitivity and a specificity of 96.36%and 79.03%,respectively,which were superior to their single diagnoses(Zcombination-NAMPT=3.571,Zcombination-PARP1=2.699,P<0.001,P<0.001).Conclusion The levels of serum NAMPT and PARP1 in CHF patients are greatly elevated, and are closely related to the occurrence of cardiovascular events. The two are influencing factors for the occurrence of cardiovascular events in CHF patients, and their combination has high predictive value for cardiovascular events in CHF patients.
