Latent Profile Analysis and Influencing Factors of Health Literacy Among Community-Dwelling High-Risk Groups for Stroke
Objective To analyze the latent categories of health literacy among community-dwelling high-risk groups for stroke, and to explore the influencing factors of different categories. Methods A total of 356 residents at high-risk for stroke in four community health service centers in Chengdu were from March to October 2023 selected as the research subjects by convenience sampling method. The general data of the residents were collected. The relevant status was investigated using the questionnaire on stroke prevention and treatment knowledge and the Health Literacy Management Scale(HeLMS)for patients with chronic diseases.Latent profile analysis of health literacy among community-dwelling high-risk groups for stroke was conducted using Mplus 8.0 software.Univariate analysis and Logistic regression analysis were utilized to identify the relevant influencing factors of each category. Results The health literacy among the community-dwelling population at high risk for stroke was classified into 3 categories:low literacy-low willingness group(5.70%),medium literacy group(66.61%),and high literacy-high interaction group(27.69%).The results of multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that stroke knowledge, age, overweight, lack of exercise and smoking were the factors influencing the latent profiles of health literacy among community-dwelling population at high risk for stroke(P<0.05).Conclusion The health literacy among community-dwelling high-risk groups for stroke presents a heterogeneous diversity, which is influenced by factors such as stroke knowledge, age, and lack of exercise.
